5 Best American Idol Contestants of All Time

5. Blake Lewis, Season 6

Named the beatbox champion, he gives his performances with a twist by adding beatbox and scat singing, such as when he sang "Virtual Insanity", "All Mixed Up", "Time of the Season", and the like. No wonder he was a runner-up and in my opinion, he should be the winner of season 6.

3. Chris Daughtry, Season 5

After his shocking elimination, his band was given a record deal by RCA Records. Their self-titled debut album sold more than 1 million copies after just 5 weeks of release, becoming the fastest selling debut rock album in history. He is the fourth most successful American Idol contestant in the history of the show, in terms of record sales. He is the most successful contestant, in terms of record sales, from his season and the most successful non-winner or non-runner up. Not bad.
